What is ChamberPANEL?

ChamberPANEL is a web-based Internet software that provides effective website management and Internet communication tools for a Chamber of Commerce. ChamberPANEL gives the Chamber the ability to operate a highly dynamic professional website with functionalities that effectively serve the Chamber’s members and its local community.

ChamberPANEL is easily compatible with current offline Chamber Management software including ChamberWare. ChamberPANEL provides extensive import and export functions to provide the Chamber seamless merger of Chamber databases. All components provide logging and tracking systems that help the Chamber physically measure usage and effectiveness of its website and its membership participation.

What are the Components of ChamberPANEL?

The major components of ChamberPANEL are: Core Website, Calendar Manager, Membership Manager, Newsletter Manager, Advertisement Manager, Email Manager, Dynamic Hotlinker, Hit Tracker and Online Store.

• CORE WEBSITE (iOFF GOLD)
  
  The website into which ChamberPANEL is embedded is a Gold package which comes with one free Domain Name, up to 200 email addresses, as much disk space as needed, 20 GIG monthly bandwidth, up to 110 web pages, cgi-bin, search engine submissions, MySQL database, PHP support, and Front Page support. There is no cost to design the website to the Chamber’s specifications, whether the website is a new design by iNTELLESIS or if ChamberPANEL is embedded into the Chamber’s current website.

• CALENDAR MANAGER
  
  Calendar Manager provides a Private and a Community calendar. The Private calendar is the Chamber’s own calendar that shows only the Chamber’s events. The Community calendar is a calendar in which members can login to add and/or remove entries at any time from any Internet connection.

• MEMBERSHIP MANAGER
  
  Membership "Database" Manager converts the Chamber’s offline database to an online database. This component provides a fully customizable search function at the Chamber’s website. It also provides the "MEMBERS ONLY" section of the website. This component allows members to review and/or update their membership information online.

• NEWSLETTER MANAGER
  
  Newsletter Manager provides a section where the Chamber can compose and publish a newsletter directly at its website. The newsletter can be archived so that visitors can view past issues in one or two clicks. Newsletter Manager can be customized to work in conjunction with Membership Manager and Email Manager to produce an automated mailing list.

• ADVERTISEMENT MANAGER
  
  Advertisement Manager provides Ad banner spots with built-in swapping mechanisms. Its main purpose is to help the Chamber handle advertisements at its website. It comes with Ad Placement forms, billing schedule generator and other useful modules.

• EMAIL MANAGER
  
  Email Manager provides two interfaces: Single Mailer and Bulk Mailer. With Single Mailer, a member is able to quickly send an email to one or several destinations that have been provided by the member using an Internet browser. Bulk Mailer automatically sends the logged-in member's message to all Chamber members.

  Bulk Mailer takes certain precautions to guarantee success:

  • The SENDER’S EMAIL ADDRESS will be the logged-in member's email.
  • The SUBJECT will be the member's name and "[Chamber’s Name]."
  • The text-based message is limited to a certain number of bytes.
    
    
    When the Chamber sets up ChamberPANEL for the first time, we will send out an INTRODUCTION email to all its members to inform them of the services of ChamberPANEL. The objective is to clarify possible SPAMMING misunderstandings and provide easy recognition of ChamberPANEL email.

• DYNAMIC HOTLINKER
  
  Association with or membership in a Chamber of Commerce has always been a powerful offline business prestige-building tool. Dynamic Hotlinker extends this concept to the online community by providing a way for members to dynamically hotlink to the Chamber’s website. With Dynamic Hotlinker, when visitors come to a member’s website that is linked to the Chamber’s website, they can click on the Chamber’s logo to view membership status information. The website accesses the membership database at the Chamber’s website and presents live content as set by the Chamber to the Internet user. Different messages can be shown on different members.

• HIT TRACKER
  
  Hit tracker provides the website advanced hits-tracking functionality. All access activities at the Chamber’s website are captured and saved in a database. The information captured includes the visitor’s IP number, browser type, source URL, access date and pages accessed. The Chamber can then use this information to make informed decisions concerning its website. For example, this information can be used to determine the cost of advertising on the Chamber’s website.

• ONLINE STORE
  
  Online Store provides the Chamber the ability to have a built-in shopping cart and related programming (including gateway connection) that makes it possible for the Chamber to sell products and services online at its website.

How does ChamberPANEL work?

• WEBSITE INTERFACE:

  Whether it is an existing website or a new website to be created by us, ChamberPANEL is embedded into the Chamber’s website to look, feel and become part of that website. ChamberPANEL was designed to work in conjunction with the Gold website package. Due to the fact that ChamberPANEL requires extensive SERVER scripting and permission settings, iNTELLESIS must be the host of the website. Proper configuration cannot be guaranteed on a non-iNTELLESIS server.

• MEMBER ACCESS:

  Each Chamber member is given a Username and Password (generated when the member signs up with the Chamber or when an existing member decides to start using the software). Each time a member accesses ChamberPANEL, a log is generated. This log records the components used by the member. If the Chamber charges its members for component use, this log may be used for billing administration.

• MASTER ACCOUNT:

  The Chamber is given a master Username and Password that can be used to access the logs generated by the software. With administrative abilities, the master account is able to find out how the members are making use of the website. It can also setup preferences for the overall look and behavior of the software including the adding and removing of member accounts, modification of calendar entries, etc.

Advertisers negotiate and pay an advertising fee to the Chamber (for example $35 per month) and then iNTELLESIS bills the Chamber a fixed $10 per month per banner fee.
